Fabric: 100% Silk Satin Habotai
Finishes: Fine cotton thread seams
Advice on vegetable dyeing: Animal fibres (wool, silk, alpaca) allow you to obtain colours that are generally more vivid than on cellulosic fibres (cotton, linen, hemp, etc.). Wash this scarf in a bath of warm water with a soap like Marseille soap and soda crystals. For the mordanting step, use alum (25%) and 10% cream of tartar to dissolve in hot water. Leave to soak overnight.
Finally, rinse well and let dry before dyeing.
